Error 500 server

Hi, I have a problem with putting two projects live. The one in vueJs is ok, I created a symlink between the client folder and public_html but I have a problem on the api side (laravel) I made a subdomain for it and put a link in the project / server But I get error 500 and the next error in the logs

Cannot serve directory /home/sm4rtprj/platforma-smart/server/: No matching DirectoryIndex

And I have that public_hml as a symlink I have as a link in the project / client / dist in public_html but I don't know what to do with the water, why I get error 500
