PHP Storm click slect highlight.

When I select a location in the code the mouse starts to select and hi-light code. I need to select again to cancel it. While I'm trying to train myself out of the mouse while coding it is getting a little dangerous atm deleting selected code.....

Any PHP Storm users know what may be causing it?

I'm on ubuntu using PHPS v2019.2 on a dell laptop. I have disabled the trackpad and the mouse action is behaving while using other ubuntu apps.

I have the exact same setup (hp instead of Dell but close enough), but I am unsure of what you mean. You don't touch the mouse at all but somehow it suddenly just select code?

When I put the caret somewhere in the editor and left click and move the mouse code starts to highlight and I have to click to stop it.

LOL Thanks. I had rebooted a couple of times with the problem not resolving but had not 'touched' my screen as I dont use it.

Touching the screen fixed it. TY.

out of curiosity does your "paste on middle mouse click" on/off settings working. Mine pastes regardless of setting

Ahhhh, the joys of linux. No looks like its a linux thing. I'll have to work out how to disable it on GNOME
