PHP Glide increasing in response times when in loop

Hello friends,

Does anyone here have experience with PHP Glide? I am looking for ideas on why a Glide server response using the example Laravel controller code, time grows bigger and bigger when in a loop.

I raised an issue on the Glide repo in case it was a bug: https://github.com/thephpleague/glide/issues/290

I'd really appreciate some tips if someone has experienced this.
