How i became into The prodigal son of PHP

I have many years of experience in the programming world, I started at 2011 building XHTML sites with jimdo, but when I started In the collage I discovered PHP I tried to find a programming language that don't sucks like java, and I learn php in one week, I was deeply in love with php, It saves me in the collage, I started to find jobs with php and find my first one, as a junior with laravel, after that oportunity I gave into the fake publicity of JS and I moved to Angular and after that to React native and most recently NEXT.js, at the very begining was an incredible Idea, till I started to become into a Senior.

While most big became the project more problems came with JS, doen't matters if you are using a LTS version of node and next.js, always a library wil break you project, always JS re-invent the wheel, after a lot of time fighting against this kind of things and the toxicity of my team and fighting against personal problems, I got a bornout and depression period, where I started to deccline a lot of Job oportunities, losing, friends, the girl that I loved, and the opotunity to stay in other country, I declined a PHP job with the argument "PHP is slow and old". (I know I was a stupid but I was sick of the JS toxicity).

I turn back to my country, withot money and job, And I decided to move to Elixir, and Wow elixir is other level, is almost a perfect programming language, and scales smooth and easily, Phoenix is my baby, you know is functional programming language showing me how to do the things correctly, but after 2 years working with it, and trying to find job I failed, in LATAM doesn't exists Elixir oportunities only 2 Job interviews in 2 years, so I moved to Golang and the same, already exists more oportunities than Elixir, less than JS but it requires a lot of experience building things for systems, and I don't have that, many job interviews failed.

I go ba to PHP and since version 5.x it was the firts version that I learned, the things has turn amazing, concurrency, laravel stills rocks, symfony my love, wordpress continue being the boss, a lot of job oportunities, and the things don't break anymore, I am sorry to refuse a lot PHP jobs in the pass, PHP still always for me, saving me in the collage and saving me in one of the worst economic moment of the life, So I wrote this post to encourage all to not move to another tech, php will be the boss now and always, and with this I want to apologize to everyone in the PHP community, recruiters and me to refuse the oportunity to grow for a stupid ideal of not going back, trying to be fashionable.

Its time to turn the page and continue my PHP journey. I love you all.
