Upload Image with laravel 5.1

you will need to do something like this in the controller that handles the input

 public function handleImageUpload(\Request $request){
    // $file = $request->file('image'); or
    // $fileName = 'somename';
    $request->file('image')->move($destinationPath, $fileName);
 }
