Text message / sms Api in UK
Are there any good value text message API's here in the UK?
All the main market leaders such as Twilio and clicksend are well over 3p per text and when you scale it up they don't really reduce the cost too much.
Compared to the US where it's about 0.4p per message from the same provider

@martinbean According to their price overview, it’s USD 0.04 to send an SMS in the UK, as opposed to USD 0.0079 in the US.

@kokoshneta yes much cheaper in US unfortunately, ok for a few texts but gets really expensive once you’re going over a couple of hundred texts a day works out around 3.4pence (£0.034)

@martinbean already have, they don’t really give out much discount unless you’re in the 10’s of thousands of messages per month.
Spoken with clicksend and twilio, hence asking on here if there is a viable alternative in the UK

Have look at Amazons service. I have not used it yet or tested but am looking for a good SMS service myself for a project and it looks promising.

@kokoshneta just seen it yeh… took some digging around to eventually find the text charges page though

ended up going with Twilio in the end, just had to adjust the way messages were sent and build into the model the ability to switch messages on or off.
