System ODL in Laravel

Hello I'm Paul Vagner, and lately I'm doing academic research, where I was assigned to do an ODL system in PHP. During the research, the framework that had a major highlight was the Laravel 5. I need the opinion of you about using Laravel for the development of this type of tool. The ODL system will have the following main characteristics:

• Video Support.
• Chat for interaction between students.
• Forum

I realized that laracasts perfectly meets my need. Could anyone tell me if there is an opensource system laravel similar to laracast or if laracast is opensource?
