Struggling to choose a Laravel Broadcaster (Laravel-Websockets vs Pusher vs Soketi)

It's going to be my first time using Broadcasting with Laravel and I'm struggling to choose a suitable driver for me. Currently the best options seem to be

  1. Laravel Websockets
  2. Pusher
  3. Soketi

Level 104

Like I mentioned on the other thread - Pusher is an easy choice to make since their free tier offers a lot of capacity and can be seamlessly replaced by Laravel Websockets if/when you scale to that level (and are prepared to take on management of that process).

As pointed out by others, a managed solution with free tier will be easy to get started with.

You should check out PieSocket.

PieSocket offers more bandwidth than Pusher's free tier.

@sudoanand I'm also sitting with a chat app using laravel 10 backend api and vue3 frontend. I wanted to try Reverb but it seem very hard to setup because no one have really used it yet. I dont wanna pay for Firebase because. CBA. Already paying for Google vision AI for a sandbox project.

Would you say PieSocket would work for my setup?
