@cherire I don’t understand why you would separate them? A datetime is a date and time combination; a single point in time. It already represents what you’re describing.

Separate date and time instead of a single datetime ?
What's the best approach to implement clock-in and clock-out functionality for an attendances app ?
The objective is to efficiently manage employee attendance, considering various scenarios, including shifts that span across different days.
Are there any benefits to using separate date and time fields for better flexibility and easier reporting? speacially when the shift start on one day and end on the following day; For example, a shift from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
