Laravel Herd Won't find or Create Sites

I am setting up Laravel Herd for the first time on my Mac with M1 chip. I have added the directory to my projects folder, installed PHP 8.0, and verified that NGINX, DNS, and FPM are showing green and running. However when looking at the sites tab I show no sites even though I very much so have subfolders in the associated directories. Additionally, If I try to add a new site via the + on the sites page, It will walk me through the steps and say it created the new site but no site or files are actually created.
