Laravel Certification (Topics Covered)

I prepare to take an exam for Laravel Certification. One of the topics covered by exam is "HTTP Verbs". What exactly does it mean?

Is that types of requests and related method in controllers (GET, POST, DELETE and index(), show(), destroy())? Or something else?

@pio.skro@gmail.com I would say so.

BTW what benefit does certification get you? Are you finding jobs where they will only accept people with Laravel certification?

I ask this as a web developer who doesn't have any formal IT qualifications. I have a degree but that is in Graphic Design and Higher school grades in Maths & Physics. I do have 22 years of commercial experience though.

Thank you for response.

I have not too much experience and I have not any formal IT qualifications. I worked over two years with Laravel. Now I have found a job as a PHP programmer and I work on 15 years old application. My tasks are related almost always to repair old, monstrous, procedural code.

I would like go back to Laravel. And I think - this Certificate will be helpful.

Since the current cert covers Laravel6, when reading the docs should I just stick to v6 docs since v8 has a lot of new features compared to v6?

I think that backend core is the same. Biggest changes has been developed in frontend. Two years ago I worked with Laravel 5 and Laravel 6. Now I learn to exam using Laravel 8 Docs and comparing sometimes with Laravel 6 Docs.
