how much important is update a Laravel based web application after deploy ?

hello guys ... i'm kind of new to laravel and i want to know that how much important is to update a laravel based application after deploy ? according to the manufacturer laravel 9 bug's will fixed to end of August 8th, 2023 , i deployed a laravel 9 version and was my question the bugs will fixed automatically or I should do something ? could someone help me on this ?

Nothing happens unless you are updating your Laravel (and other package) version - major, minor or patch release.

You can get the latest versions of your project's dependencies (up to the range constraints specified in your composer.json)

composer update
