I don't know what you are trying to do, but if dealing with a shopping cart, no do not attempt to hold on to a session when user logged out. Start fresh upon each login.

How keep Session?
Hi! Sorry for my English.
I need keep the value of a session that I was created, through the application.
I was created the session:
session()->key(['cart' => hash()]);
but the value is regenerated after login and logout.
How I keep the same value to my custom session?

@eufernando you can use cookies if the guest is not authenticated or if the user will be authenticated, use the persistence layer such as MySql, Redis etc.
