Flow for Shopify Apps - Most prefered Programming language for public apps

I'm a Laravel developer who is looking to create shopify apps that will going to be hosted on Shopify app store. I have heard with most of the people that usually do not recommends to built an app on Laravel technology as the app does not approved/qualifies for the apps marketplace. What is the cause? Also, which is the most preferred technology that is going to be used building the Shopify apps for marketplace that will be approved.
