look in the server logs to see what is causing the 500 error. It's really hard to answer such a broad question without more details.

500 error after uploading on ubuntu hosting
Hello everyone! I overlooked for everything related to my topic and nothing helped, even tried to set for all directory recursively 777 and still getting 500 error while trying to reach my laravel site. maybe somebody know what can be missed for example in apache2 settings?
