1and1 Shared Hosting - quick comment
I use AWS for my projects....but just in case that someone needs to use 1and1 as hosting provider and run into the PHP CLI version issue...
This is how I was able to install Laravel 5.5
# php7.1 composer.phar update
Level 6
No issue now. before you were not able to install Laravel 5.3 and up.
