inertia optimistic ui

Hi, does anyone have any tips on doing optimistic updates with inertiajs?

@tykus suspicious of what, exactly? Technically I'm not a new user, I opened this account a while ago - just haven't used it much.

We have an app at my workplace which has been migrated from a React SPA using react query, to a React+Inertia app. The optimistic updates have been a sticking point so far, and I have been trying to figure out an approach to this.

Jonathan Reinink (inertiajs creator I think?) teased something about this way back in 2022 but didn't explain any details and I haven't been able to find anyone else discussing it so thought I'd try here.

@tykus it is a weird coincidence I'll give you that, but I still don't see what you are suspicious of - you think it's bots or something? What would be the motive??

I am just looking for help with something that doesn't seem to be described anywhere else that I could find.

Actually looking at those links one of them is literally copy-pasted from my post - same exact words. That has to be some kind of automation. Still don't understand why though!

edit: one of those links is to my own post, (which has a subject line different from the post contents), and the other takes the content of my post and copies it into both the subject and the post, and is from a literally brand new user - I don't understand the purpose but that doesn't look like a real person, but I assume you I am!
