Starting with 5.4, Where to Begin Learning?

I've gone through most of the "Laravel 5.4 from Scratch" series, but I'm curious just how far back I can go and still find relevant info. Should I also go through the "Laravel 5.3 from Scratch" series? Or is 5.4 completely up-to-date, with nothing missing?

Maybe watch the old vids, then compare each one to current docs.

Seeing the history of a project will give you an appreciation and understanding of why it is the way it is now.

Jeff updated Laravel 5.4 videos. I think it's good point to start. Latter you can watch old videos.

You can still find Laravel Fundamentals 5 around here from 2014 when it first launched. Here is the link:

https://laracasts.com/series/laravel-5-fundamentals

This will allow you to get a pretty good idea of what has changed and what has been updated and added. Then maybe move onto the 5.1 and 5.2 vids and watch those too. Should give you a pretty good idea of how the framework runs on a basic and fairly in-depth intermediate level.

Hi, @lukewh ! Your series is off to a good start! However, my message is a month old, and I have a functioning Laravel installation with BGG integration and Stripe payment processing. Woo hoo! Laravel makes it so easy. :-)

It does indeed! To be fair I didn't look at the date, sorry for the necro. Happy laravel'ing!
