Hi,
If you could add a book on database design to Laracast's recommended reading (https://laracasts.com/recommended-reading) what would it be?
Alternatively could you recommend a good video series or lecture?
I don't mind if things are a bit overboard if it gives me a good base. Ideally however I'd prefer something lighter and more focused on what I might ultimately encounter building medium sized web applications. Much of what I've found searching is either a bit too simple or overly complex.

I hope that we can get a Laracasts series about database design at some point in the future, as @JeffreyWay states that he will do it from long time ago, also it will be great if we get a series about Software design and requirements analysis ?
