Improve Cod

I have been developing for years but want to improve my code in terms of how to lay stuff out. So things like naming classes and methods, how to split things up properly, I think I'm putting too much code in one method for example.

I don't know the fancy names for things haha like closures, I use them but didn't know the name till I heard it in a laracasts video.

Does anybody have any good suggestion for books that cover this sort of thing?
