Which project management tool do you use ?

Hi Everyone, today I have a bit different question but very important in my opinion.

I would like to ask you which PM tool do you use or used in your software house and if it is ok in your opinion?

We starting few years ago from Trello with few addons but too many limitations appear, so then we try basecamp...after few days it was annoying (strange behavior many times), part of team try Asana but we didnt like it and finally we buy access to Clickup but after 1 year it is ultra annoying and super slow (I can write a book about that...:/) [additionally for few days we tried 2-3 additional tools but I dont remember the names]

So for now we thinking about Jira software + Tempo + Confluence but one of problems is a price (because we have only about 10 devs/PMs in team but 19 guests and expected more)

Clickup offering the same functionality as Jira but in low quality in cost about 50$/month (after discount) but the same functionality from Jira will cost about 450$/month (if Im counting well) and Im not sure if this heal our situation. So we thinking if Jira which is 9x more expensive is 9x better ?:)

So, what is your expirience ? :)

Thanks K

I wrote my own version of basecamp. One month of my time. And now I have the codebase to expand on.

I had literally the same experience as you have, especially with Clickup and Asana. We decided to go with something less recognizable and we came across Primetric https://www.primetric.com/. It's tailor made for software houses, you have everything from standard PM features to budgeting, resource allocation etc. the only thing that it is lacking is task management . I had also some good experience with https://www.teamwork.com/. Hope it helps

We've been on a rollercoaster too – Trello, Basecamp, Asana, Clickup – the struggle is real! Anyone else been through the wringer and found the golden combo?
