Where to find consultants for Laravel Projects?

I have a project I am planning on building in Larevel but even using the resources on this site I have some specific questions that I would like to discuss with somebody more experienced than I. If I were to post them to this forum I'd probably get no real answer because they can really be based on opinion and may be open ended. I'm not quite sure where to look to find an experienced Laravel developer who can help me answer some of the questions I have regarding building/running my application, and of course be paid hourly to do so. Can someone point me in the right direction?

For starters, a lot of programming is opinion based, but also it is based on experience and best practices.

I would suggest asking your questions, and seeing what responses you get. The cool thing about this forum and others like it is that there are tonnes of people, just like myself, who are experienced developers who are happy to help in any way we can.

So what if it is opinion based! It is better to get the opinions of various individuals then you can make up your own mind, while being informed. Instead of going to one person and getting everything from them. If anything, asking one person will include more opinion.

If it is a big job then you might consider posting your job on https://larajobs.com/?partner=36# and interview whoever responds, but this is a paid job posting.

Two fantastic answers, thank you both... @Ruffles, I will definitely look into those options, they look really awesome! And @mstnorris, thank you as well, I will definitely heed your advice and see what advice I can get from sites like this. I had another post several weeks ago but it was very long and the answer I got really didn't help me understand what I need to do. I think I would really benefit from the services @Ruffles mentioned because I can work 1 on 1 with a mentor to make sure I'm building everything right (which would be GOLD for me; I've never launched an app to production in anything other than vanilla php on a shared hosting provider, so I'm trying to take a step up and move away from procedural spaghetti code). Thank you both for the advice!

@procapture you're welcome. What I would suggest is that instead of posting long arduous questions which inevitably (because they are so big) will invite a lot of opinion.

Break the problem down into smaller chunks and work on it, ask questions where and when you need to, it is easier for us to help you too.

Eventually I will probably want to hire a developer to actually work with my company full time for a significant equity stake and salary, and they would be the CTO-type person I'm looking for, but right now I need to get this off the ground myself, so I need to rely on my own coding skills to achieve profitability and get it off the ground. Thanks again!

@mstnorris I agree, I need to work on breaking things into smaller chunks for sure. I have a bad habit of trying to explain everything related to an issue and end up over-explaining (the other post I was referring to was really a question of managing routing multiple Top Level Domains on a single Laravel app, or of course if I was better off doing it a different way where there are multiple apps on different servers; but there I go again rambling :) ). Again I appreciate your advice immensely and will try to break everything down better in the future when I post.

It's good to be clear and up front with your intentions but sometimes it is hard to see past that and actually understand what you're asking (that's the general you not you you if you know what I mean). I too fall into the trap of over explaining, and sometimes it helps, and sometimes it just gets in the way. As long as you set your expectations, what you want, and what you've tried, it's all good.

Lol I just also realized I misspelled Laravel in the title of this. I must have looked like such an idiot! Just a typo guys I promise :)

I hadn't noticed. My Mac always autocorrects it to Larvel so I'm sure others are used to it.
