I sometimes dip into this thread and think 'holy sh*t!' :-)

In IT terms I grew up in the 1980's and then it was amazing to get floppy disks by post (a whopping 360kb on each of them!) from other people (sometimes even in a different country - wow!) who had found you via other people posting your demo's/games/whatever around like a chain letter - mile by mile, town by town.

Amusingly, I'd quite often get a letter attached which would begin 'Apologies for my bad English' - which was then written in perfectly clear English - and I keep seeing the same thing on posts here, so some things never change ;-)

It just hits me from time to time that this is all quite remarkable. A while back I came across hyperlax which really brought it home too (I could watch that for hours).

Anyway - ignore me - just a passing thought from an old hack ;-)
