I have been a Laravel developer for almost three years. What should I do to get freelancing clients? Should I switch to learning the MERN stack or focus on improving my skills in Laravel and learn AWS , devops, networking etc?
@Braunson i have work with shared hosting but i have face many issue like email are not send etc , for scaling we need to have cloud computing in our skill list aws serveless functionality. I think for security, scalability, to save my self from sever issue mighty learn aws but i see people a move to world mern stack and there are more jobs for mern.
@abdulrehman176617 AWS is a starting point, if you are firm on that there is a Free Tier. It's not something I'd personally start from after learning Laravel. But I'd suggest following some tutorials and docs regardless.
There's so many faucets to look into. For example email reliability, you would likely want to use PostMark or MailGun for this reason. Shared hosting is generally locked down and varies in settings/config host to shared host. There's lots of PHP/Laravel jobs out there. If you are following the current market count of jobs, then move to MERN. Really you have to do what is best for you.
I think you answered your question, if you need Cloud Computing to scale, then that's where you must start? Many times developers think they may need AWS/Serverless but much of the time it's not necessary. I don't know your business requirements, traffic, etc but that's my 0.2c.
