Sync Local Database with Remote Database

I am developing an application locally and using mysql as database. I have same replica on digital ocean also using mysql as database. We are running whole application locally but we want that when we have internet connection all of our database got updated online. I have use mysql replication but my slave is always says connecting ... now I think that my mac is not allowing out site connections Firewall is off and mysql is also configured but I am still unable to connect ... Any other solutions ...
