Setting up with Rackspace Cloud Hosting

Hello everyone, I have Rackspace as my website hosting provider. Rackspace requires that you use 'content' as the folder in place of the Laravel default 'public'. What would be the proper way to rename the 'public' folder to 'content'? I am currently using Laravel 5.2 and I've tried a few guides for previous Laravel versions but it doesn't seem to be working as intended. Thank you in advance!
