PHP to C#

Hey all first of all i want to say i love the site and the quality is top notch.

I am interested in php on a more personal level like for wordpress development and other stuff. Currently doing the php for beginner track. Best instructor i have had so far.

What do you guys think in terms of learning php and switching to C# later because near me there are more job offers for C# at the moment.

Is it hard to transition?

any insight on this would be nice.

Again i love the site and wished there were more quality sites like this!

Yes, the transition will be quite hard, not the syntax itself since it's similar, since they are both based on C, the problem will go from a loosely typed language to a strongly typed one, and of course learning all the classes needed to do something worthwhile

I've done the opposite last year, I moved from C# to PHP, I do still enjoy C# but since switching to PHP and then onto Laravel, it's been a lot more fun.

thanks alot for the answers! much appreciated. php will not be my first language aswell i got some experience in java and javascript so i hope it will be ok just want to get to know more languages to grasp the underlying concepts better and for me it helps to do it with different languages.
