I used to struggle on that setup. Still go back to it on my custom build but hate it compared to a Mac.

Resurrecting an old thread:

Am running Windows 10 Pro on a Thinkpad Lenovo E590, i7-8565U , 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD for Windows and a 500GB SSD running Debian and i3WM. NOT a true dual-boot scenario. When I want to switch, I select the other SSD and boot straight up. I hated dealing with broken dual-boot issues.

On Win I have WSL2 with PHP 7.3, MariaDB 10.3, Nodejs, etc. and VSCode. I have the same dev environment on my Debian install. Currently learning Laravel while on Windows and so far it is enjoyable. WSL2 is running flawlessly without any issues. Although php artisan commands are painfully slow and I don't know why?

I prefer my Debian environment though for web development.
