Launching application first time, need help.

Hello guys, i've been working on a project for some time now and launching should come soon. My questions are following since i have never done this (this is my 1st big project and i am launching it alone) I use ionic-vue for hybrid app and Laravel for backend API. And i need to host both of these applications.

-Should i host them on same server? Or should i get one for each?

-Since i am from Serbia should i look for hosting provider inside my country or i should use something like DigitalOcean and similar(will this have impact on app being slower so user can notice?). Have in mind app is only going to be available in my country(for now).

-Should i consider opening a firm and getting people to keep coding app for updates and such in other words making it business? (This is little ahead of time but i want to think in this direction in case this is necessary to do). I dont want to keep coding app for updates forever since i have more poject i want to do.

-You mistakes and experiences?

-What to look for?

-Any tips where to go from here.

I would like to hear people that were it similar situations. Thanks in advance. Programming we can all learn on internet this... not so much! Cheers!

@usanzadunje

I first lunched my web app project on 2016. I would recommend you that, like coding, increment step by step.

At first I use single server for Web+App+DB then slowly gain experiences and slowly migrate from single server to multi-tiers architecture.

My applications use only in my country but I host them outside and they work fine.

I started with DigitalOcean but now moving to AWS, the pricing model may very hard to understand at first but, when I start to understand it bit by bit I would say, I appreciate the ASW pricing model. it's seem fair to me.

Maybe you can start like me, keep it simple on the server part. For the firm part if you are on your own and you love to dev most, I think you should focus on your application first.

So, GOOD LUCK :)

Thank you so much for reply. This really helps. Many people have suggested like you to start small and upgrade from there and only worry for things when they come at you. So that's what I am going to do.

I will go with digital ocean since I made account and have 100$ free to use. I already started hosting there so i can learn how its don't and when time comes to host my real app I will know. They have new section called App which is even more user friendly and you don't need to worry about server stuff. But that is also fun to me so in future I will upgrade my knowledge of that as well.

My biggest concern was if there will be performance impact if I host outside of country app will be used, which many people including you say it wont. That's great since I like abroad hosting provider much better than ones in my country.

As for business part, yeah I'm alone in this(friend just did the design). So besides problems like this and in coding I have a ton of work to do in legal stuff and get this firm up and running, since for app to be successful I need clients that I need to approach and "make" work with me and my app. I guess it can be and is always frustrating for people doing stuff like this on their own but I am so determined to do this that eventually I will :).

I'm probably gonna write full article about this once I do all the stuff required and get it up and running.

Thanks again it really helped to read your comment!
