Laravel 5 release date

I read here on this forum that the final version of L5 might out on december or even january. Is this true? I am waiting for it like a child waiting for his birthday present and initially it was to be out on the 8th of november. Well I believe is best to wait for a better product than making things in a hurry and not right.

Thank you!

This has been addressed in multiple threads already.

It wont be released until Symfony releases the next version - and there is even some talk of early January.

You can start prototyping on it now - but if you need to develop an app it is probably worth starting on 4.2 and upgrading later.

Not sure the words "final" are best since it's always being updated, even after stable release.

It'll be out when it's out :)

If you are in a hurry use 4.2 if not then wait for 5.0. The best thing would be to play with 5.0 now so that you get to understand it better. When you start your app, it will be just cruise time. I am also waiting for L 5.0 like a kid waiting for Christmas presents :)

I remember that Taylor announced a November release, with Symfony 2.6 release.

There is word of delaying the release till next year, but I'm hopeful that will be getting it this month.

Most probably it will be released in early January.

I had hopes it will come in November... Sad to see it late.

I don't mind waiting till january, even later if necessary. When the first release date was announced, it was 4.3 not 5.0, and it wasn't intended to introduce so many changes. Give Taylor time to make it real good !

Finally there's no excuse to post "Laravel 5 release date" now :)

Just some more days to wait. I can't expect the release next week!
