I'll be speaking. Didn't go to last year's, but the one before it was great fun.

Hi guys,
So I'm a big fan of Laravel and I live in the Netherlands! Laracon is coming to Amsterdam again and I'm thinking about going! I really want to go but I'm not sure if it's worth the money since I'm still a student!
My question is can someone share their experience from last year?
Please share your thought!
PS: Let me know if you are coming as well, we might grab a beer after ;)

@JeffreyWay I can't wait to hear your talk! I think I should be going then huh :D
@blackbird I'll be there this year again. Like Jeffrey I was there for the first one only. Couldn't make it last year. First conf was awesome, great place, great people. See you there!
I went the year before last as well. I can only speak for myself, but I felt it was worth every penny. Maybe not because of things you learn that you can implement instantly, but because of new ideas and design solutions you encounter that will inspire you to be a better developer.
Also, you get to know other developers and build a network, which is invaluable for your future career.
If you're coming - see you there! Feel free to contact me and I'll buy you a beer :)
Well @joostvanveen 99% sure about going! I just have to buy the ticket this week :D
It would be nice to meet a lot of people here in the Netherlands since I'm still a student and I need a job someday :P Would be awesome to work with guys who are on the same line and also as enthusiastic as I am :D
I signed up for the student ticket(hope I win) for me it seems to be a great learning experience. And a lot of fun, as I enjoy every time I spend on building apps.
I'll probably go to the next one, I'm quite close being in the UK, plus I've never been to the Netherlands :)
I'm going @bashy, you have to go as well! I will buy you a beer (although food and drinks are free on Laracon, but still) ;)
although i'd love to be there, it's too far away from here for 'just' a trip
I really would love to go. But its so far away You should host one in Australia :-)
No really I will go properly next year. When time will allow it.
Yeah, a Laracon Australia would be a lot of fun. I'd go to that.
@JeffreyWay Laracon Australia, Hell ya!
That would be cool! It' a bit far away from my country but it will probably worth it!
I'm also signed up for Laracon EU, might have even been one of the first to buy a ticket! So @joostvanveen I'll take you up on the offer for that beer :) Very much looking forward to the talks and networking.
Hello guys, I am a student too and I am very excited since I bought my ticket for Laracon. I am travelling from Greece. It will be nice if we drink some beers together.
@bobbybouwmann You'r going to give away a lot of beers haha. @johninthout en me are also going to Laracon with another colleague of mine (not a Laracast user I believe).
Just my personal opinion;
I have been to Laracon last year and I really enjoyed it, but when it comes to learning new things i'd probably just as well watch the videos that get uploaded afterwards. My employer decided to pay for the tickets, but personally I would not pay for it myself. Its more about the experience and talking to people with similar interests, and enjoying the "free" food en drinks of course ;).
But then again this is just my personal opinion, it depends on what you are trying to get out of it and if it justifies the price for you.
See you there, guys! @bobbybouwmann actually, we're hiring :) If you need a job or internship, look me up!
@joostvanveen Thank you for contacting me ;) I will keep you in mind when I look for my next internship (starting in februari)
@bobbybouwmann Cool! And @DMA I owe you a beer. Any more Dutchies going?
I'll be there too this year!
By the way, if anyone is looking for accommodation, I've still got a spare room in an Airbnb flat right next to the venue from Aug 24-26.
