Laracon 2015 Videos

Someone tell me the sessions are being recorded right and the world will be able to view it on the Internet very soon.

Unfortunately, they weren't recorded this time around.

:-O.... Wow, why not? Seems like a big loss for the community at large.

Will the slides or presenter notes be available? What about voice recordings??

@kayyyy what are you trying to say about ticket prices? Ticket prices wouldn't prevent someone mounting a simple smartphone or voice recorder to capture the sessions...

Hey @JeffreyWay yes we as a members of laracasts expect series with videos from major Laravel conferences :)

You could add pro plan that has access to those videos ;)

Any chance to take at least a look on the slides?

Maybe they release some videos after Laracon EU next week.

It's fine, no videos this time but make sure you record the EU conference!

A little disappointed about the fact that there are no video whatsoever. Was really looking forward to catching up on the conference over the weekend.

I *think they are recording presentations for Laracon EU, but not sure.

I gave a fun talk, so wish it had been recorded.

That's a real shame, I was looking forward to watching these. Unfortunately it wasn't the entry ticket price that prevented me from attending, it was the air fare as well, and the fact I've just come out of hospital from a major op.

Seems a strange choice not to record it. Even though I've attended PHPConferenceUK a couple of times, it was also nice to be able to view the recordings on youtube too as it means you can "re-listen" in case you missed anything and with a multi-track conference, means that you can actually be in 2 places at the same time, kinda! =)

Cheers..

Ian

I was at the laracon but din't enter the hall because I thought I can watch videos later on, and this happened ;)

Yes, it's a shame. There is no good reason to don't do that.

Laravel should remain open, it's ok not to have live stream or delay on release but not recording anything?

@jjosephs thats good news. Laravel community is so huge and i think its not possible for most of us to attend to Laracon US or EU for a lot of different reasons.

iffifan's avatar

really a bad decision in my opinion. many of us cannot attend laracon due to several reasons and we wait for videos to be available later (even for some price).

Nothing was recorded? Did Taylor run out of VHS tapes?

DylanGraham's avatar

I thought in the podcast Taylor mentioned the videos being recorded but maybe I misheard.

martinbean's avatar

@DylanGraham No, pretty sure the Laracon EU videos were recorded by a professional company, and said they would be available only within a matter of days.

Would love to have the links posted here when they're up :)

It really was fun Jeffrey. Especially the "tooling-rap" was hilarious! =)
