Laracasts - Thoughts? Opinions? Roadmap to proper use?
Totally new to Laravel. I know a bit of PHP but most of my web development experience has been with Rails, although I've never done anything overly complicated with it either.
I really like the idea of Laravel because it seems like it would be MUCH easier to deploy than Rails and I'm thinking about taking the plunge and subscribing to Laracasts. Are there any better, easily accessible learning resources out there?
Any pre-reqs? Meaning, is there anything I should learn about Laravel first before starting Laracasts?
Is there any sort of roadmap or proper viewing order other than starting with #1?

You've probably already spotted them, but there are a number of free episodes/series available - as a for instance. I'd suggest starting with those - which will hopefully help you make your mind up before committing.
For me (and i only dabble in coding) its definitely been worth it.

What i did, I went through the free vids. Then I bought a one -year subscription. Then I bought a lifetime account.
Test it out. See if its for you. For me, it totally made sense. Good luck on your journey.
