Nice one, gonna test it out.
Lijepo, lijepo. ;)
Hi,
I have made an extension for Google Chrome called Laracasts Notifier.
It would be my honor if you would try it out and send me some feedback if you like it or not.

Nice one, gonna test it out.

Great Stuff! testing now
Nice! I had just been using RSS Feed Reader, but I'll give this a try. :)
I think it was for alerting forum notifications. It would be cool. Is it possible ? :)
@pmall There is only a RSS feed for new lessons and series.
Laracasts Notifier currently only detects new lessons, but I plan to add series to it also.
Don't you get email notifications on new posts on forum and tweets ?
Don't you get email notifications on new posts on forums and tweets ?
Well if you say that, let's look at this in settings :D
"Email me when new lessons are published"
@bashy Yes, but there is a difference between new lessons and new posts :)
Let's say that a new lesson = new news and a post on a forum = comment on that news.
Do you usually get your news in email or do you view it on the web. I spend most of my time in a web browser and it seemed a good idea to have notifications when a new lesson is released. Just click watch, watch the lesson, close it (mark as watched) and continue working what you were working on without leaving the window.
Was only a joke :P
@bashy Oh, sorry. English is not my native language.
Have you tried the Notifier yet?
Sadly not, may do at some point when I have free time to watch lessons :P
Thank you guys for using Laracasts Notifier, 13 users already :)
I need a designer to help me create promotional tiles for Google Chrome store.
Help wanted! Designer needed. See https://github.com/mabasic/laracasts-chrome-extension/issues/7 … for details.
For me the list is in descending order so I have to scroll to the bottom to see the very latest. Other than that, it's pretty neat.
Also on the details popup for the extension settings it says can read my browsing history. Why is that?
Build up a Safari one, and I'm on board. ;)
@mabasic The extension is extremely buggy. After a while of using it, it simply gives up and shows wrong lessons that they are new, shows that I have 13 new lessons and I always have to go back and mark all of those as "watched" even if I click the "mark watched all" button it will mark them for few seconds and then again, it will unmark them and notify me. Kinda frustrating.
Thank you all for your input.
I have opened issues on GitHub and will begin to solve them as I find time.
Most likely the new version will be released next week and all issues that are open on GitHub will be resolved, so if you find any issues please open a issue here; it would help me a lot.
@isimmons It needs permissions to read your browsing history because:
When you click on a lesson to watch in on laracasts from the Laracasts Notifier
it remembers that tab
and once that tab closes it marks that lesson watched
Hope that explains it. The feature seems a little buggy atm, but I hope that in the next release it will be more stable.
@mikebarwick It is very unlikely that i will build a version for safari atm, but given that enough people show interest in it I could reconsider doing it.
The extenstion has been renamed from Laracasts Notifier to Laranotti and I have been working on updating the code and fixing bugs. You can view the new design and progress on GitHub
New version is now available from Google Chrome store

Give it a try and let me know what you think of it. 36 users, not bad for start :)
