If a direct link can be acquired, how do I acquire it?
Do you mean one of your posts here on Laracasts; you can right-click on the Posted X minutes ago and copy link address? It will link (and scroll to) the relevant reply in a thread, e.g. https://laracasts.com/discuss/channels/laravel/how-do-i-turn-off-auto-formatting?page=1&replyId=948265
@tykus Thank you, but there seems to be a problem. When I click the link in your post, it goes to my post I made in the "How do I turn off auto formatting?" thread, which for some reason has a blue border around it. However, when I put a link to my post in the "Problem creating laravel project laravel installed on wampserver?" thread, it doesn't go to the post, but instead to first post. @rfm once a thread gets past a certain length, the best answer is hoisted to the top of the page, your link here is going to your reply, but there are two of the same reply on the page, one at the top as best and one way down below.

It goes the the first reply because it is also the best answer (I dont think so). With any other question, it would correctly scroll to the expected reply

@rfm its probably confused because there are two anchors on the page with the same ID
@Snapey That could be. Whoever is in charge of this needs to fix it, maybe by adding something to the end of the ID of the hoisted post, such as "copy", since the original is left where it is and the copy is hoisted.
