Is LinkedIN: Laravel News just an AD agency

I've been away from social media for a while due to time constraints. I decided to jump back in tonight via LinkedIN and after scrolling <2 days of "Laravel New" it seems like its main focus is on advertising. Have I been out of the loop so long that I just forgot what it's like or is this a new thing?

I remember everything involving Laravel used to be related to doing things more efficient, saving cpu and memory, preventing overhead and just becoming a better developer.

I suppose at the end of the day the big names have to focus on revenue, but I hate to see that an account with that name which holds so much prestige has devolved into essentially a marketing firm.
