git push to deploy

I got it all to work except I am having trouble with the script logging into the digital ocean droplet. ubuntu 2004 apache2 mysql php. I have been trying for a week mabye give or take to get it to log onto the droplet. I have followed digital ocean instructions on creating key pair and and for some reason I ended up with the error:

2020/10/21 23:37:10 ssh: handshake failed: ssh: unable to authenticate, attempted methods [none publickey], no supported methods remain

any help thank you.
