Cheapest way to get domaine name with email

Hi everyone,

this isn't Laravel-related, but since I'm sure a lot of people here deal with hosting and domain names for their project, I thought it was worth a shot asking here.

My father wants to purchase a domain name for his company, and have an email address like "name@domain.ca" that he can send and receive emails with. I live in Canada.

I looked at GoDaddy, the domain name is cheap (about 10$/year) but they charge 5.99$/month to be able to send and receive emails with a custom email address.

I then looked at name.com and it wasn't better, and I finally found hover.com that sells the domain name with small mailbox for 105$ for 3 years. This is the best I could find.

Is there another Canadian-based or at least North American based domain registrar/hosting company that you would recommend for this?
