Best web hosting?

I hope this kind of question is suitable here... What is the best web hosting in your opinion? and by the way, what do you say about GoDaddy or BlueHost? I want to buy a domain and hosting, wondering what are the best choices out there! Thanks.

For Laravel projects, shared hosting isn't great (GoDaddy, BlueHost, HostMonster etc).

Digital Ocean or Amazon Web Services are a good choice. You might even get away with AWS's free tier.

By your domains from somewhere like hover.com. That's who I used personally.

If you're a student (just thought i'd mention it). You can get a free domain with namecheap.com and $100 in Digital Ocean credit through the GitHub education program. If you're not a student, sorry ;)

If you are using Laravel, you should feel solid using Digital Ocean, and if you are not interested in provisioning your own servers as much, Check out forge.laravel.com and see if that fits your needs. Forge will provision and install a git repo on a virtual server provided by Digital Ocean (you have to pay DO for hosting and for Forge, but IMO, it's totally worth it).

Also, you can host more than one site on a virtual server and Forge makes that super easy.

Damn, i feel so confused. And sorry for this newbie questions, I'm just 16 and not a pro developer of course. i need something that i can afford and i need it to be reliable. I'm a student, yes. but not in the US if that makes any difference. And one more thing... sorry for my english!

I don't think you need to be in the US to benefit from the GitHub edu pack.

Do you have a school email address?

i tried to go to Namecheap, but they give free hosting just for US, UK, and CANADA universities. And yes, i do have my schools email.

Go to https://education.github.com/pack and sign up for the pack with your .edu email address. This is a set of amazing deals for students that includes Digital Ocean.

If you already have a GitHub account using a different email address, you can add your student address as a second email to your account. Follow that option in the student pack form.

PS It always pays to check if there are student / education offers. You can also get phpstorm free as a student!
