Beanstalkd Queues with many tubes

Has anyone used Laravel's queue listener with more than just a few tubes to pull jobs from? Here we are trying to pull from a Beanstalkd queue that can potentially have hundreds of tubes and would like the ability to add new tubes on the fly. Right now I am thinking of just writing a vanilla wrapper/listener combo with Pheanstalk to get all of our tubes and work on them in X processes.

I just wanted to post here and get any input from others that may have run into a similar issue.
