Audio always defaults to Spanish (AI Generated)

¡Hola!

I'm taking a course from Jeffrey Way and the audio track CONSISTENTLY defaults to Spanish (AI Generated) for some odd reason. My system language is English (US), my browser language is English (US), I constantly change the language at the beginning of the video, yet the issue persists and I get to see Jeffrey say ¡Muy bien, hola a todos!

Is there any way to change this because it is quite distracting to pause the video and have to change the language on every lesson.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with the default audio track setting on the video player used by Laracasts. Here are a few steps you can take to try and resolve this issue:

  1. Check Browser Settings: Ensure that your browser is set to prefer English as the primary language. Sometimes, browser settings can influence the default language selection in media players.

  2. Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, cached data can cause unexpected behavior. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies to see if that resolves the issue.

  3. Update Browser: Make sure your browser is up to date. An outdated browser might not handle media settings correctly.

  4. Check Laracasts Settings: If Laracasts has a user settings page, check if there are any language preferences you can set for your account.

  5. Contact Support: If the issue persists, it might be a bug or a configuration issue on Laracasts' end. Contact their support team with details of the problem, including the browser and operating system you're using.

  6. Use a Different Browser: As a temporary workaround, try using a different browser to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is browser-specific.

Unfortunately, without access to the specific video player settings or Laracasts' backend, these are the general troubleshooting steps you can take. If none of these solutions work, reaching out to Laracasts support would be the best course of action.

@LaryAI Yeah I've already tried that bot.

I think it's some psychopathic user tracking Vimeo is doing where I probably previously landed on a Vimeo video while vacationing in Spain, and they couldn't help themselves from psychotically data mining everything and tagging me as Spanish for whatever reason.

Anyway, given the reliance on Vimeo, I suggest adding a way to set a default language in the user profile that overrides whatever Vimeo is doing (or trying to do and failing).

Ok, now, the audio track changes to Español (Generados con IA) MID-VIDEO! Granted, this happens only if I return to a video after a long pause (1 hour or more)
