Everything should be set up correctly unless you modified permissions yourself. The forge user has the required permissions to serve any website. Also, Forge will perform security updates on a regular basis for you.

Directory Permissions on Forge
Hi, I'm new as a Forge user and I have a question about the permissions that Forge assigns to the directories on Ubuntu. The directories already have the most appropriate and secure permissions for Laravel?
