I guess you just SSH to your Digital Ocean server or whichever you use with forge, and install whatever you need.. Here are some recipes ready if you find them useful:

Adding a php extension recipe for Forge
Does anyone have a recipe for installing additional PHP extensions for Forge? I have a couple I need to automate (sqlsrv & tidy)
