BREAKING CHANGE: webpack < 5 used to include polyfills for node.js core modules by default.
This is no longer the case. Verify if you need this module and configure a polyfill for it.

If you want to include a polyfill, you need to:
        - add a fallback 'resolve.fallback: { "path": require.resolve("path-browserify") }'
        - install 'path-browserify'
If you don't want to include a polyfill, you can use an empty module like this:
        resolve.fallback: { "path": false }

Requests that start with a name are treated as module requests and resolve within module directories (node_modules).
If changing the source code is not an option there is also a resolve options called 'preferRelative' which tries to resolve these kind of requests in the current directory too.

I checked sail node version. It is v15.10.0

How can I solve those errors?

Thanks

Hi, I suddenly had the same problem, between 2 compilations.

After several hours of research, I finally found the problematic line in my main JS file. I don't know how it came about because it has nothing to do with my app, I had to do a keyboard shortcut mistake or something, but here it is:

import {alias} from 'laravel-mix';

By removing this line, everything is back to normal.

Maybe your problem is similar and you need to look for a bad import line.

Good luck!

Ty for this! Cannot express how much I appreciate the frustration you just saved me.

@Pleb Thanks for this! Although it wasn't actually my issue, it definitely helped highlight the issue.

I run VSCode and have extensions installed to import related code easily. I had accidentally added an import to the head of a file which had caused my compilation to fail in the same way.

So check if there were any recent additions to the imports which could be causing this compilation failure.

I'm getting the same issue, there is no mentioned code in my application.

import {alias} from 'laravel-mix';

Would you guys please help me out on this. @pleb @vardkin @mixchex @tcetin

Thank You!

SOLVED: There was mentioned line added in app.js don't know how it's added in the code.

import { response } from "express";

Thank you everyone.
