Enable babel in Laravel 5.4 Mix

Hi, guys. I want to enable babel in Laravel 5.4. Never dealt with webpack earlier. Maybe I'm just wrong with syntax but I cannot find right example so I'm asking

My webpack.mix.js

let mix = require('laravel-mix');

/* |-------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Mix Asset Management |-------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Mix provides a clean, fluent API for defining some Webpack build steps | for your Laravel application. By default, we are compiling the Sass | file for the application as well as bundling up all the JS files. | */

mix.js('resources/assets/js/app.js', 'public/js') .babel('resources/assets/js/jquery.myplugin.js', 'public/js/jquery.myplugin.js') .sass('resources/assets/sass/app.scss', 'public/css');

npm run watch/npm run watch-poll compiles all except babel

Specs (who knows): nodejs v6.11.2 npm 3.10.10 running on Ubuntu 16.04
