Are you running Gulp in the Homestead VM or on your Windows command line? You won't get them if you're running them in the Homestead VM.

Elixir notifications don't appear
I was wondering why I'm not getting the compiled successfully notification.. i'm running Homestead Laravel 5.4 on windows 10
