DB Wizard and Laravel know-it-all

The company I work for (Erank) is looking for someone with some serious chops in handling some large scale data (maybe not as large as some of the big boys, but to us it's BIG data). Our DB is growing fast and we need someone that is an experienced database engineer/architect/bad-ass (whatever the wording is) to help us plan out our path for the coming year. We need guidance on how we'll handle the data that is incoming and how to access it in a super-efficient manner. Anyone that knows MySQL/AWS Aurora or other possible like systems would be great but would also prefer someone that knows Laravel as well to help with integration of the developing system with the DB architecture.
