US-based online print svcs: experiences/recommendations?

I've used a few printers over the years but I always feel like there must be gems out there I haven't discovered. I mostly design color brochures, cards, stickers, inserts, and posters. Back in the day I tended to avoid places like VistaPrint (have they improved?) but had many jobs printed with 48hourprint, no complaints. SmartPress was OK though any type of design with millimeter-specific requirements was a challenge for them.

I've used some local/union printers but for specific or lower cost jobs sometimes online is better.
