Laravel/Docker Issue

I am trying to dockerize a Laravel app using sail so I can demo how to make an easy REST API with Laravel. I just want to be able to clone a repo onto any machine and not have to install PHP, MySQL, etc.

However, I'm having some issues getting this to run. I have Docker desktop installed and fully up to date (fresh install just for kicks and giggles), I have sail in my path (so I don't have to prefix it).

Here's what I've tried so far.

  1. Ran curl -s "https://laravel.build/example-app" | bash (from Laravel docs) to create an example app and try. Created the app, ran sail up, and got the response below.

  2. Created app with composer using composer create-project laravel/laravel test-app --prefer-dist, ran composer require laravel/sail --dev, php artisan sail:install (to create the docker-compose.yml file), and then sail up, but I am still receiving the same error.

@4msar I've restarted my computer, but I'm not able to run docker build --no-cache . Here's the response I get. sail up is still producing the same error as before.
