Installation of Ubuntu, problem with sudo on VM with VirtualBox 7 vs VirtualBox 6
Hello,
I'm working on Ubuntu, so I don't need VirtualBox on my computer and I don't know VirtualBox so much.
Yesterday I wanted to help a friend to install a development environment for Laravel on Ubuntu on a virtual machine.
She installed VirtualBox on her computer, created a virtual machine and installed Ubuntu on the virtual machine (via the ISO file).
But it was then impossible to install PHP or any other package on Ubuntu because the current user wasn't in the sudoers file. It was also impossible to initialize the superadmin password.
She showed me how the installation has run and I discovered that VirtualBox 7 asks for a username and a password before any installation on the hard disk (whereas it's not the case with VirtualBox 6). Then it creates automatically the user on Ubuntu without any interaction from the user.
Whereas with VirtualBox 6, the installation is interactive, I can choose the language, enter manually the username and the password, ...
Do you know any solution to avoid this problem with VirtualBox 7 ?
Thanks for your help.

@vincent15000 If you look at the first image on the page below. It has a checkbox for Skip Unattended Installation. If you read this page it tells you the instructions for both Unattended and standard installation methods.
Note: If you choose not to use unattended install then this step will be skipped and you will go straight to the following screen. Once your machine has been created you will be able to create a username and password by proceeding through the standard Ubuntu Desktop installation flow on first boot.
